Ralf

Ralf belongs to Dee. Ralf is a Black registered Thoroughbred Gelding of approximately 25 years of age.
He stands 16.3 hands tall and has a white star on his forehead. Ralf's registered name is Panama Jack. He
began his career as a jumper under Hans Sen. From what we understand, Ralf was quite successful as a
jumper. But, like many people do, his owner pushed him too far too fast and his form suffered because of it.
Ralf was purchased by Nikki Helland as a Dressage prospect and spent the next several years as her riding
partner. Nikki was a friend of mine and we boarded at the same barns, trained together, horses (Ralf and
Cairo) went out in a paddock together... Nikki eventually decided it was time to get a more advanced
Dressage horse and sold Ralf. Dee purchased Ralf on New Years of 2000? When he was 19. They make a
lovely pair and trained with several trainers including Hans Sen, Lisa Williams, and Jane Vercelloti.
Unfortunately, Dee is on a medication that makes it very dangerous for her to ride a horse any longer. But
we all still enjoy Ralf very much. He is still a gorgeous, silly boy. He is the only horse in the barn that will do
a trick on command. And yes, he is still a complete crab when it comes to food.
