Arizona

In loving memory of Arizona. A very special mare who we were blessed to have with us for a short
time. Arizona left behind two beautiful daughters. The tragic loss of Arizona was devastating to
us. A short year later Joann Rawn lost Arizona's beautiful daughter Jessabeau. We are very
grateful to have her youngest Rocca Bella with us.

Arizona was a strikingly beautiful Friesian mare by Barteld and out of Candy. Arizona stood
every bit of 16.2 hands tall and unlike most Friesian mares, had the presence of a stallion. After a
rocky start with us (Arizona had her own ideas about work) she settled in as the queen of our
ranch. We worked very hard along with Cassandra Adams to get Arizona to attain Star status
and pass the prestigious Mare Performance Test with the Friesian Horse Society. She not only
passed this in 2004, but was awarded Second Premie again and was also bestowed the honor of
Senior Mare Champion for the FHS! She is greatly missed every day. We hope and pray that
her daughter Rocca Bella will have a long and healthy life with us. Rocca Bella is not for sale.
